Wanting

by Janette

Wanting to be
your beauty

your jewel

 your desire

Wanting to be wanted

solely by you

Waiting

Waiting

 written by Janette

Alone

out of place

so alone

in the world

waiting

knowing

you

were somewhere

in the world

a mirror

of my

emotions

The Weight

One moment it's gone

one glorious moment

you smile

you shine

you breathe

as fool's gold fooled

you have been

upon shoulders

that cannot bear

one moment

it's gone

her smile

her shine

her breath

gone

The Magician

The Magician

written by Janette

He wows

He amazes

He holds their breath

inside their chests

the illusion

the promise

the wonder

of it all

the moment

it's pulled

out from under

your feet

you split

into two

so where

do I

land

Not Afraid of Loving

She was afraid

Not of loving

not of being loved

but of hurting

believing

finding fate

crushes her

fates set its design

on her

her life

her heart

crushed it so

convinced her

despicable is she

cruelty meant

served with her heart

Until

You

Curvey

Your are the straight

I am the curves

Curves you Crave

you are the logical

moving forward

I am the odd

the one that can't decide

what is best to run or to wait

I am the curves

you are my iron

hot and firm

I think you sometimes

choose to keep

the iron on low

because my curves

excite you

entice you

amuse you

Although I am curvy

I crave you trying

to

uncurl me

The Door

The Door

She sits alone

hair falling gently

out the window she gazes

mind is miles and lifetimes away

He is there watching

from the dark

through a doorway

hoping never to be discovered

Heart needing his touch

his essence is felt

she longs for his touch

his mind ~ his love

She waits

hoping

the door won't stop him

Diary

Diary

Words of youth lost

pages never written

emotions stored deep

lost within a mind

a soul afraid to be free

If I wrote the words

would they find their way

to heaven a confession

or to hell for eternity

Would they cure or obscure

when all she searched for was him

that loves her without limit

he touches all the faded gold edges

of her diary ~ her soul

Innocent Eyes

Innocent Eyes

Really

Innocent

He knows they aren't

a small little fib

she's sent to the hall

missing her daddy

sent off to war

she learned other ways

for protection and care

principal falls victim

to her innocent eyes

years have gone by

she's grown and moved on

fallen now smitten

by his love and care

he doesn't fall

for her innocent eyes

Captured

Captured

Fish Hook Line Sinker

Bird finds their prey

the wild chase theirs

most clever of all

he who has voice

words and light

she is captured

Heart Mind Soul

Beginnings

Beginnings

Piercingly cold winter morn

protected by none

could it be that this one early morn

that destiny was formed

destined to be hurt

is it only one day

one moment

one person that sets fates path

a frozen bottle

haphazardly placed

in a puddle of tears

frozen

used as a tool

to smash the soul

of an unsuspecting child

destiny frozen in time
