With pencil I have learned
I've touched your smile
to shadow your lips
Create the face I see in dreams
love and care
hand to paper
can't erase a single curve
Soft and Shiny the pencil creates
strands that fingers long to entwine
with gentle strokes of fingertips
the shape around your face is formed
Patience to shadow the sides of your nose
that lies beside your cheeks with grace
to shadow your cheeks with just my thumb
wonder if that's how the original was done
