White are the tree tops over the road
leaves of summer have long since gone
despite the light ~ shadows dwell
within this heart of mine
cold of winter ~emptiness of night
Sun warms more each day
creating dots of green above
tunnel of white over the road
becomes a tunnel of light above
Green and yellow become the colors
of the canopy over the road
cooling the path that leads the way
to changes needed to bring about light
light that dances amongst the shadows
chasing them to distant places
The canopy now is a colorful one
many shades of happy colors
a color to match each joyful change
to lighten my life and brighten my soul
no more shadows hiding inside
only Peace and Joy under the Colorful Canopy.
